Job Summary | GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP OVERVIEW: Elmhurst University welcomes applications for a graduate assistantship in the Office of Student Involvement for the 2024-2025 academic year, which is renewable for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a student position. Interested applicants will need to submit an application for admission into a degree seeking graduate program at elmhurst.edu/graduatestudies and be accepted before becoming eligible for consideration for a graduate assistant position that correlates with their area of study. Graduate assistants at Elmhurst University may be hired for a full tuition waiver based on 20 hours of service per week. Graduate assistants will also receive a stipend while they are working, paid bi-weekly, in support of their continued education. Graduate assistants will participate in their assistantships during the Fall and Spring terms at minimum, and may be required to participate during January and/or Summer terms. Eligible Graduate Programs: M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Master of Business Administration
Weekly Hours: 20 Start Date: Mid-August 2024
Tuition Waiver: Full Stipend: $10,000, Paid monthly from September 2024 – May 2025 Terms: Fall 2024, January and Spring 2025 ASSISTANTSHIP SUMMARY: The Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation in the Office of Student Involvement will perform a variety of general administrative and first-line supervisory duties as needed in the coordination, guidance, supervision and direction of fitness programming and facilities. The Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation will report to the Dean of Students in the Office of Student Involvement. |

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements | Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. |
Work Hours | Daily office hours Monday-Friday (20 hours per week) in the Tyrrell Fitness Center, schedule to be determined with supervisor. |
