Benesch is looking to bring on a Bridge Design Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team in Wisconsin. As a Bridge Design Engineer in Training, you will collaborate with a talented group of Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers, contributing to diverse transportation projects focusing on bridge and other transportation structure designs. As a valued member of our Milwaukee team, the ideal Bridge Design EIT will assess and analyze structures of varying complexities while working under the guidance of experienced engineers to create plans, designs, calculations, and cost estimates. This role offers a well-balanced mix of in-office and on-site project experiences working under experienced professionals!

Milwaukee, WIThis full-time position will be at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
The Impact You Will Have- You will document and report bridge conditions for routine or complex inspection assignments.
- You'll write reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts, working with WisDOT, counties, and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure.
- Assist in business development activities, creating letters of response and technical proposals/presentations.
- Bringing it all together, you will prepare drawings in MicroStation or AutoCAD to assist with recommendations to clients for rehabilitation or preventative measures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's Degree is a major plus!
- EIT certificate or ability to obtain within a year is highly desired
- One previous summer internship experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation in transportation and/or water projects
- Proficient in MS Suite and progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing MicroStation or other structural design and drafting software.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
