Overview

Join our dynamic team as a leader in IT Infrastructure Operations, where you will drive strategic initiatives and provide visionary leadership across our diverse technological landscape. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure, both cloud-based and on-premises, including the Microsoft 365 Platform, network operations, and security operations. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our IT strategies, optimizing our technology investments, and upholding the highest standards of industry practices. Your leadership will not only influence the direction of our IT endeavors but also empower our team members through thoughtful mentorship and performance development.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Niles, IL office, offering the flexibility to blend in-office collaboration with remote work.

Responsibilities
    Strategize and Lead Data Center Operations: Spearhead our data center initiatives, both on-premises and in AWS, by developing strategies that align with our company's vision, deploying cutting-edge technologies, and enhancing infrastructure efficiency.
  • Elevate the Microsoft 365 Experience: Take charge of the Microsoft 365 platform, Exchange Online, and Active Directory, driving automation and maximizing the platform's potential to deliver exceptional value.
  • Network Operations Stewardship: Guide our network operations team to ensure robust and reliable corporate networking, strategize for peak performance, and oversee critical maintenance and lifecycle management.
  • Champion Security Operations: Supervise day-to-day security operations, safeguarding our digital identity, access management, and network security.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work alongside organizational leaders to align infrastructure and network capabilities with our IT objectives.
  • Cultivate Excellence: Promote a culture of collaboration, professional development, and innovation, mentoring team members to foster their growth and the team's success.
  • Innovate through Automation: Continuously seek and implement process enhancements with a keen focus on automation to streamline operations.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Oversee and assess vendor partnerships, negotiate contracts, and manage the IT infrastructure budget with a strategic financial acumen.
  • Empower IT Talent: Lead, train, and mentor IT staff, nurturing a cooperative and productive work environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network operations including at least two years of management responsibility in a leadership role
  • Experience in managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of data center management, network operations, IT vendor management, and process improvement techniques.
  • Familiarity with AWS, IAM operations, privileged access management operations, and spam filter management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security best practices and process automation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Previous experience in assisting with the establishment of company policies, operational objectives, and work plans that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect,
  • Ability to work on issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives, as well as an understanding of company culture.
  • Able to implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Able to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and business activities.
  • Able to interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others, without damaging the relationship.
