Job Description

1st shift

  • Assistant will use computer aided drafting systems to create drawings for product creation, filling drawings with codes and specifications for the fabrication.
  • Assistant must be able to take directions and use them to deliver a high-quality product. Assistant must be precise, have great verbal skills, be able to handle stress, be creative, be organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Also must be comfortable in a "small family owned" shop environment.
  • Must have sheet metal component detailing background in SolidWorks or AutoCad.
  • Also Microsoft Excel literate

Education Requirements:

  • Vocational Training or Associates Degree or Job Experience (3-5 years)

Responsibilities:

  • Programming CNC laser parts from DXF/DWG files (will train)
  • Research and obtain standards and codes required by client to develop plans
  • Review engineering drawings prior to release
  • Develop accurate layouts, flats and assembly drawings and details
  • Take direction from engineers and executives to research drawings, catalogs, and sketches to develop detailed dimensioned CAD drawings
  • Clerical duties to include: filing and organizing shop routings minor data entry.
  • You will have duties in our shop that include: checking materials, pulling small items from stock and answering questions in regards to drawings from shop employees.
