YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE

We are looking for a Research Assistant in 800 S Rohlwing rd, Addison, IL 60101 USA. Your mission will be to:

Purpose of the job: To assist with the conduct of study trials, preparing all necessary materials for day to day functions, facilitating study enrollment and supporting the laboratory.

Main activities:

* Works with study coordinators to ensure participant enrollment

* Provides administrative and clinical support, including taking vital signs and assisting with participant visits, as needed

* Perform recruitment calls and interact with potential participants to determine study eligibility

* Maintains a high level of knowledge and understanding of assigned protocols

* Prepares necessary material for day to day functions

* Completes study related documents

* Adhere to Good Clinical Practices

* Able to support the laboratory, specifically: Collect routine blood and urine specimens; Collect timed specimens, utilizing IV's at times; Process and ship patient samples to various reference laboratories; Order and process incoming supplies; Adhere to CDC recommendations and OSHA requirements

At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.

Communication:

Internal Interlocutors: All clinic and CRO staff. Supports clinical and administrative team.

External Interlocutors: Works directly with the public and stakeholders. Nature and objectives of communication (report, explain, influence, negotiate...): Engage and recruit study participants. Support clinical and administrative team.


YOUR PROFILE

Knowledge:

* 1-2 years phlebotomy experience

* BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

* Outstanding customer service skills

* Excellent communicator and creative thinker

* Bonus: previous experience in clinical research

Management:

None

Work Environment: The incumbent works in an environment with proper lighting and temperature controls. Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 30 pounds is necessary to perform related responsibilities. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a sitting position. Incumbent may work in a laboratory environment that requires the wearing of a mask, laboratory coat, and insulated gloves.
