Job Description

Reporting Relationships

Position Reports to:             Kitchen Manager and General Kitchen Manager
Subordinate Staff: None

Basic Functions:

Primarily responsible for running food from the kitchen to the dining room.  Proper food delivery etiquette.

Essential Functions:

  1. Proper dining room delivery etiquette and carrying plates safely and effectively.
  2. Learning all restaurant floor plan and table numbers.
  3. Wiping plates before delivery, for proper food presentation
  4. Repeating table numbers back to expediters and or managers when running food to dining room for accuracy.
  5. Emptying & replacing bus pans on the expo trays
  6. Restocking, cleaning and prepping food items, condiments and kitchen utensils for shift.
  7. Reading food tickets, garnishing sauces, soups, plates, etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  1. Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.
  2. Knowledge of dinging room floor plans and table numbers
  3. Knowledge of entire menu, names and how every food item should be garnished and the visual aspect of every entrée for consistency.

Skills/Aptitudes

Understanding basic command of the English language and ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.

Working Conditions

  1. This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
  2. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
  3. The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
  4. Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
  5. Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
