Job Description

SCOPE OF LEADERSHIP ROLE

The Payroll Coordinator position is a key team member of the Corporate payroll team and is responsible for the monitoring and assisting in the process of the company's US payroll. The role will work closely with the Corporate payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely payrolls. This role is critical to ensure all associates taxes, benefit deductions, hours and other adjustments are properly recorded. As part of the payroll team this role will also assist in other duties and special assignments as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process weekly payroll ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate and process irregular payments (e.g., sales draws, bonus payments, etc.).
  • Review and process additions and changes to computerized payroll system (e.g., changes in salary, tax withholdings).
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, and tax levies in partnership with third party administrator
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices
  • Partner with HR on all matters involving employees' compensation, benefits, 401(k) contributions, HSA accounts, etc.
  • Provide requested data and reports on individual employees as requested by government agencies, employment verifications, and internal inquiries.
  • Additional duties and special projects as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years previous multi-state payroll processing experience required
  • Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hours laws
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems - UKG Pro, ADP E-Time and Kronos timekeeping preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel - specifically vlookup's and pivot tables
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material
  • Ability to multitask and work proactively in an ever changing environment
