Position Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Controls Operations manager based in North America to assist with the expansion of the Control team and product offering in territory. The successful candidate will seek ways to grow the business and deliver our current product platforms with the support of the UK team. This opportunity will enable the individual to build a team around them and be at the forefront of North American Controls. The role will work closely with the North America Sales and Aftermarket teams to support the system sale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote effective Health, Safety and Environmental programs and practices, ensuring that high standards of site safety are established and followed by all associates in the operation
  • Assist the Sales teams to encompass Controls in their tenders
  • Identifying new sales leads for Controls based products
  • Resource and deliver active projects
  • Identify internal and external resource requirements
  • Management of department profit and loss to sustain required margins
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Help growth the Airedale Controls brand in North America
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including written, verbal and presentation techniques
  • Thought leadership with respect to Controls execution as well as the long term strategic plan for the Sub Vertical
  • Responsible to provide coaching, mentoring and leadership to the Controls team and associates
  • Creation of a positive work environment that allows for collaboration and team cohesion.Eagerness to be part of a winning team.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of Controls Industry experience (production supervision/manager/etc)
  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineeringor other technical field preferred)
  • Experience hiring/building a team and managing 10+ direct reports
  • Project delivery experience
  • HVAC experience is a nice to have
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
  • In-depth knowledge of the controls and/ or cooling industry and its current events
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
  • Attention to detail
  • Can do attitude
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Successful at winning new business
