NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Sr Manager, Digital Marketing. This role focuses on developing and executing on member and campaign email and direct mail strategies through an analytical, target-first approach. Responsibilities include managing and optimizing an email direct mail campaign calendar in partnership with key marketing stakeholders. This roll will be accountable for metrics demonstrating campaign impact and optimization efforts, as well as identifying opportunities to drive consistent creative messages to members.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
2. Minimum of four years of hands-on experience in email marketing, direct response, and direct mail program leadership, with a track record demonstrating increasing impact.
3. Strong analytical skills and an ability to turn data into actionable information.
4. Ability to brainstorm and bring new ideas to the table on how to grow and improve email and direct mail marketing strategies.
5. An ability to remain organized while managing multiple different campaigns across different verticals.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Google Analytics 4.
7. Extensive proficiency in the management of direct mail and email processes, including best practices and database administration.
8. Experience managing and building vendor relationships.
9. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work and communicate with ease across the organization.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
11. Motivated self-starter with a willingness to roll up sleeves.
12. Experience in financial services a big plus, but not required.
13. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company and compliance policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Oversee email and direct mail strategy aiming to enhance member acquisition, optimize CAC, and drive ROI to meet business objectives. This includes regularly communicating and analyzing performance results and key insights within the marketing team and key stakeholders.
2. To excel in this role, it will be crucial to develop a deep understanding of our members and products. You should demonstrate robust problem-solving skills, anchored in data-driven decision-making, and collaborate effectively with creative teams to ensure consistent messaging aligned with data insights.
3. Monitor monthly metrics, focusing on KPIs such as open rate, click-through rate, conversion and take rates, to identify areas for optimization.
4. Recommend and execute audience targeting strategies across multiple channels, such as email, direct mail, paid social, and digital banking.
5. Ensure the accuracy of email content, manage cross-platform opt-outs, and scheduling.
6. Perform in-depth performance analysis to understand the impact of each campaign, measuring conversion rate, response rate, and ROI.
7. Superior problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills for forecasting, budgeting and predictive modeling, with strong Excel skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills used to drive action and outcomes, with a high degree of detail and results-orientation.
9. Excellent listening, reasoning, negotiating, time management, and project management skills, along with the ability to set and execute goals under tight deadlines, navigate complexity, and adapt quickly to changes.
10. Continuously test target audiences, messaging, and frequency using first- and third-party data to drive innovation in creative communications through structured test-and-learn methodologies including A/B testing, results analysis, and proactive recommendations.
11. Manage partnerships with internal teams and external vendors to drive performance improvements and growth opportunities by lowering costs, shortening campaign cycle times, improving response rates and other optimizations.
12. Forecast and provide guidance on expected and actualized member actions.
13. Manage direct mail and email campaign calendar in collaboration with key marketing stakeholders.
14. Develop key insights through data analysis to inform strategy and campaign decisions to drive greater profitability for both email and direct mail campaigns.
15. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of direct mail and email best practices, serving as our in-house channel expert. Stay up-to-date with the latest demand generation strategies, best practices, and competitive landscape to test and implement growth strategies that improve our members experience.
